When the family is all together, what is the best activity to schedule in? That’s right Family Photos!! If everyone is already going to be all together, why not document it. That is what this family, in the Rexburg area did, they got together for family photos!
I love this family so much and was so grateful that I got to do this session for them. I was able to do this session with my mother. This was also our second time doing this families’ extended photos. If you want to check out the first session we did with them, check it out here!! This family I got to know really well when I was growing up and they will forever have a special place in my heart.
These Rexburg family photos were taken on a private field just outside of Rexburg. The spot made for some of the most perfect extended family photos. On the property there was also a vintage truck that we just had to include in some of their photos. There was also a river that ran through the property, some very mature trees, and horses, which all helped make this family photo session.
For this session this family stuck to a white, navy, gray, and yellow color scheme. It ended up looking so great, especially for this location. They also brought a stool for their session. I highly recommend stools or chairs for extended family sessions. They really help in posing and getting some really extra great and creative shots.
PART ONE
The way I divided this session up is for part one it is all the bigger group family photos. The photos that the session is all about. The photos with everyone looking at the camera. These could be considered the ‘classic’ family shot or the photos that you book the session for.
PART TWO
The second part of this session is all the shots that make the family photos worth it. These are all the candid, or in the moment photos that are captures that you hope the photographer finds and captures at your session.
