Extended Family Photos | Griggs Extended Family Session | Teton Idaho Family Photos

These extended family photos were so much fun! I love it when the whole family gets together and comes out for a photo session. It is a sure way to preserve some special memories.

This family is so special to me. I have know them for a lot of years, as our families became close when I was growing up. They came to my mother and me and asked if we would be willing to take their extended family photos. We of course said YES!!

For these photos we went to the Teton Elementary School in Teton Idaho. They loved the red brick that is on the school and loved the idea of having that as their backdrop for their family photos. We also did some of the photos on other places on the property.

One thing that I loved about this session is that we were at a place with a playground. It is so great when photographing little kids. They can get their photo taken and have an instant reward for doing such a great job. It is also a great way to capture fun candids of the kids.

PART ONE

The first part of this family session is the more formal part of it, or what I like to call ‘The Christmas Card Photo’. These are just the photos that everyone is posed and looking at the camera, the classic family shot. These are some of the most important shots to get during a family session. When you are looking to book a family session this is typically what you think of.

PART TWO

The second part of this session was all of the fun candids. As I mention there was a playground on the property, which made for some of the most adorable candids of the kiddos!!
